About Me

About Me — Doris's Story

Hi. I'm Doris.

I never planned to spend my life making bags. I planned to have a husband, a home, and a quiet life. But at 29, I found myself alone with two little girls and nothing but my mother's old sewing machine and the will to survive.

So I started sewing.

What began as a way to pay the bills slowly became my life's work. Every bag I made was a school lunch. Every stitch was a school uniform. Every sale was one step closer to giving my daughters the future they deserved.

I worked through holidays. I sewed through the nights. I missed parties and slept little — but I never missed a school play, a graduation, or a single moment that mattered.

Today, both of my daughters have university degrees. They have careers, homes, and lives of their own.

And I am 72 years old, sitting in the same little workshop where I started it all — knowing that I did it. I did it alone. And I would do it all again.

But my hands are tired now. My eyes are slower. And my heart is finally at peace.

This is my last collection. Every bag in this shop was made by these hands — the same hands that raised two girls from nothing into everything.

I am not closing because I failed. I am closing because I finished.

Thank you for being part of my story.
